We feel that doctors that make repeated mistakes should undergo an extensive review before being allowed to continue practicing medicine.

The Doctor Is In Trouble.................

Tens of thousands of people die each year due to preventable medical errors. The major problem with this is that it is due to lack of patient safety, and the doctors oversight. The Institute of Medicine reports that 48,000 to 98,000 patient deaths occur each year. This costs around 3.5 billion dollars yearly. Statistics prove that 1 out of every 100 patients will become a victim of a medical error. Patients that are harmed by medical malpractices are not always guaranteed any compensation either. This does not include the individuals that didn't live to tell their story to anyone, and the doctors and nurses who were able to just keep it quiet.


We know first hand of a doctor that made a horrible mistake on a local patient. They went back in to try to correct their mistake and messed up even worse. The patient ended up on life support and almost died. This patient ended up in rehabilitation in a nursing home and is still in bad shape almost a year later. She has limited mobility and this has changed her whole life. This doctor as far as I know still practices. Should he? What if this was your family member?
